AIR.PA ends the day indecisive
Airbus SE (AIR.PA) Technical Analysis Report for Sep 14, 2018 | by Techniquant Editorial Team
AIR.PA ended the week 1.3% higher at 106.20 after gaining €0.56 (0.53%) today on low volume. Closing within the prior day's range, prices failed to decisively move past the previous day's trading range. Ending the day with an indecisive close, neither buyers nor sellers were able to gain control during the session.
Daily Candlestick Chart (AIR.PA as at Sep 14, 2018):
Friday's trading range was €1.66 (1.56%), that's slightly below last trading month's daily average range of €1.85. Things look different on a weekly scale, where volatility is slightly above the markets average with the monthly volatility being slightly above average.
During the whole day, prices traded within the prior day's range, unable to trade above the previous day's high or below the prior day's low forming an Inside Bar.
After trading as low as 105.12 during the day, the stock bounced off the key support level at 105.90. The failure to close below the support could increase that levels importance as support going forward. Prices are trading close to the key resistance level at 107.84. After spiking up to 106.78 during the day, Airbus found resistance at the 50-day moving average at 106.69.
Though the share is currently in a short-term down trend, this might just be a correction, as the medium and long term trends are both positive.
Buying could accelerate should prices move above the close-by swing high at 108.00 where further buy stops might get triggered.
